A community 3K run
that goes back to its roots
For many years, the Dogwood Parade was a yearly staple in Ladue’s tight-knit community, celebrating camaraderie, family and the anticipation of warmer months ahead. In 2025, we’re excited and humbled to introduce The Dogwood Run, welcoming back the spirit and legacy of the parade to the heart of Ladue.
After a scenic, tree-lined run, walk or stroll (yes, strollers are welcome!) around the famous “Ladue Triangle,” everyone will come together at the Post-Race Festival to kick off summer and give back, with all race proceeds benefiting the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation!

Our neighbors at local Ladue staple, Companion Bakery, have graciously offered their cafe and parking area to support our vision of reviving the spirit of the historic Dogwood Parade.
After the race, we will gather outside of Companion to cool down with an iced coffee, a tasty treat and a stroll through our Post-Race Festival, featuring an array of vendor tents, giveaways, music, and games for the whole family!

Race Director Mark Spewak grew up in Ladue and ran competitively for Ladue High School. This experience was the catalyst that later inspired him to start Spewak Training, a nationwide running coaching business. He later founded the nonprofit racing team, Spewak Racing, in 2021.
With a long history of producing events that give back to St. Louis, the Dogwood Run builds on his vision to support community, promote wellness, and help change lives for the better. His most recent events, the 2024 Chain of Rocks 6k and inaugural Market Mile, raised a combined total of over $11,000 for St. Louis charities.

Don’t worry - the fun doesn’t stop when the tents come down! The Clayton Road District is home to many fun, charming stores and restaurants. So add a shopping trip through town to your morning and keep the family fun going!
